In consultation with your doctor or nurse, it may be necessary for you to see another healthcare professional for your symptoms. Our clinicians specialise in a number of areas including asthma, dermatology, sexual and reproductive health, and mental health. You may therefore be asked to make an appointment with another member of the practice.
When necessary, you will be referred to a hospital of your choice. Routine NHS referrals are made electronically and letters take 5 working days. Urgent NHS referrals are made within 48 hours. Private referral letters require five working days from request to collection. Please supply the name of the consultant and hospital/clinic when you request the letter.
It is the responsibility of the patient to chase up and rearrange hospital appointments and telephone numbers are listed below to help with this.
