Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Action Week Materials 16-22 May 2022
Dementia Action Week (16-22 May 2022)
The theme this year is DIAGNOSIS : With a sustained drop in dementia diagnosis rates for the first time ever, they have fallen to a five year low, Alzheimer’s Society undertook research to understand the key barriers and benefits to getting a diagnosis.
Their research shows that the misconception around memory loss being a sign of normal ageing is the biggest barrier to people seeking a dementia diagnosis.
There are opportunities to raise awareness in May during (16-22 May 2022) Dementia Action Week, using the resources Alzheimer’s Society have designed and released.
